| EDIZIONE LIMITATA, IN VINILE TRASPARENTE, REALIZZATA IN OCCASIONE DEL RECORD STORE DAY DEL GIUGNO E LUGLIO 2021, ristampa con copertina pressoche' identica alla prima rara tiratura uscita in Uk su Cherry Red. Pubblicato nel maggio del 1982 dalla Cherry Red, il primo dei due album del progetto di Adrian Sherwood della On U Sound, precedente '' Epic Sound Battles Chapter Two" (1983). Il collettivo musicale guidato da Sherwood, produttore del disco, e' qui artefice di una delle piu' sfuggenti musiche in cui egli abbia messo mano: inevitabili elementi dub si integrano o si alternano con ritmiche e sonorita' funk, post punk, ed in alcuni casi echi tribali o lisergici fanno capolino in alcuni episodi; tutti i brani sono strumentali, magistralmente suonati tra gli altri da Crucial Tony (Creation Rebel, Dub Syndicate e Singers & Players), Bruce "Minty" Smith (Pop Group e Slits), Eskimo Fox a.k.a. ''Mus'come'' (African Head Charge, Creation Rebel, Mark Stewart & the Maffia), Style Scott (Creation Rebel, Dub Syndicate, New Age Steppers), Sean Oliver (New Age Steppers, Rip, Rig and Panic), Bonjo I (African Head Charge). I Playgroup furono un gruppo di studio, progetto "aperto" diretto dal produttore Adrian Sherwood della On U Sound, assemblato con line ups cangianti, e realizzarono due album nel biennio 1982/83. | |||||||
