Who Knows (Where the Time Goes) I Clannad sono stati la principale folk band irlandese, nella loro musica erano tuttavia presenti anche elementi jazz, progressive, rock, utilizzavano strumenti inconsueti appartenenti alla ricca tradizione dell' isola ed i loro testi erano rigorosamente in gaelico, nella loro formazione militano i fratelli Pol, Ciaran e Maire Bhraonain, fratelli della futura celebrita' Enya, anch' essa peraltro nel gruppo prima della carriera soliosta; produrranno alcuni tra i massimi albums del genere, sempre sospesi tra atmosfere brumose e brani piu' tradizionali, dove ben presenti sono le forti radici celtiche e con la magnifica voce di Maire, quasi sempre in primo piano.
