prima stampa francese, doppio album, copertina apribile senza barcode, corredata di inserto, label nella versione rossa e argento, catalogo RSO ?– 2658 128. Pubblicata nel 1978 dalla A&M in Gran Bretagna, dove giunse al 38esimo posto in classifica, e dalla RSO negli USA, dove arrivo' alla quinta posizione, la colonna sonora del film musicale ispiratosi ai Beatles, interpretato dai Bee Gees, da Robert Frampton e dall'attore Steve Martin. Gli interpreti cantano canzoni dei Fab Four tratte per lo piu' dagli album ''Sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band'' (1967) e ''Abbey road'' (1969); troviamo anche brani cantati da Alice Cooper, Aerosmith (notevole la loro versione di "Come Together"), Earth Wind & Fire e Billy Preston. Il film venne prodotto da Robert Stigwood, boss della RSO, che aveva gia' prodotto il celeberrimo ''Saturday night fever'', mentre l'album fu prodotto da George Martin, storico collaboratore dei Beatles; a dispetto dello sfavore raccolto presso la critica, la colonna sonora ebbe grande successo presso il pubblico americano.
